  • Research the Internet and learn as much as you can about the model agency industry
  • Schedule a test shoot with a reputable professional photographer
  • Develop a portfolio of 10-15 prints; update your portfolio every 6-12 months
  • Market yourself to several model agencies; be persistant and follow up
  • If called by an agent, be on time and be prepared
